To help improve care for kids with heart conditions across New England, the David Ortiz Children’s Fund proudly supports the EchoQIP program – a regional effort to reduce diagnostic errors in pediatric heart imaging.

Why EchoQIP? Because getting the diagnosis right is critical. While heart surgery has saved countless young lives, it only works when doctors have a clear and accurate picture of what’s going on. Unfortunately, many complications stem from missed or incorrect diagnoses – often due to imaging errors during echocardiograms.
