Two cardiac surgery training teams and one diagnostic outreach team are secured, fully funded and supported annually by the DOCF, led by surgeons and physicians from Michigan and New York. These DOCF medical mission teams provide training to local surgical teams, and increased capacity to support more complex cases as well as valve replacements.
