The David Ortiz Children's Fund partners with Four Seasons Boston for the Run of Hope benefitting Pediatric Cancer Care and Research
The annual Four Seasons Hotel Boston Run of Hope, in association with the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 along the Charles River Esplanade. All proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer care and research at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center (MGH). The event will include one-of-a-kind top fundraiser and raffle prizes, a gourmet pancake breakfast, kids activities, plus special appearances from Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and Chronicle host Shayna Seymour, the event’s emcee.
David Ortiz will kick off the Run of Hope festivities with the Children’s 50-yard “Fun Run” at 10:15am, followed by the 5k Run and 2k Walk at 10:30am. Before, during and after, participants will enjoy games, incredible raffle prizes (including a meet & greet with Big Papi at Fenway Park!), a pancake breakfast prepared by Four Seasons Chefs, plus an Awards Ceremony hosted by Shayna Seymour during which the top runners and fundraisers will be honored. Top fundraisers receive trips to Four Seasons properties worldwide, airfare included.
Four Seasons Hotel Boston is proud to partner with the David Ortiz Children’s Fund for the third straight year. Together, their mission is to help children receive the best possible care at MGH. The Run of Hope has raised $1 million for MGH thus far and is part of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ global mission to help find a cure for cancer as well (to date, the company has raised over $600 million toward the cause).
